Hope this holds you over 'til tomorrow!Īlmost 10 years ago, Toontrack released the now legendary Superior Drummer 2 which revolutionized the drum software market and quickly became an industry standard. I'd love to see them go really advanced and do some integration stuff like Melodyne does in Studio One.Įither way I am super excited to finally have it out and it will be a day one purchase for me even if they really only do the bare minimum.įound this on, taken from that blog post before it was removed. Taking a few loops and using algorithms to create some in-between things and mix in fills is what I like. For me the biggest is more advanced ways of writing and intertwining loops and creating song structures that done require me to buy 9 billions loops. I would be shocked if I see anything like that going from S2 to S3.Īt the very least, I will be happy to receive TT promotions that are related to drums instead of the never-ending EZ mix stuff or endless SDX "sales".yah all sounds good. Many years ago my cross-grade price from DFH Superior Drummer to S2 was $50. I'm wondering if features such as tap-to-find will be included?Īt the very least, I will be happy to receive TT promotions that are related to drums instead of the never-ending EZ mix stuff or endless SDX "sales". I wonder if sales have dramatically slowed down therefore it's finally time for S3 that seems like it should have been released 2 years ago? I think Toontrack might have been satisfied simply milking EZD2 for all it's worth.and IMO it's worth a lot for the money. I too would like the freedom to just use the program without the base kits, but I would guess, for promotional purposes, they will include something new just to show off the possibilities. I would be shocked if I see anything like that going from S2 to S3. So I am hoping it is one of those "free" pieces of software, or at least cheap pieces, and its the kits that cost money. Many years ago my cross-grade price from DFH Superior Drummer to S2 was $50. Basically I am happy with this kit so I don't need any of the base kits that will come with superior 3 (probably). My main concern is that I don't want to spend a lot of money. hi-hat and other things sometimes just sound off and require a lot of tweaking of the midi file. And as mentioned before, I hate that the midi files from ez drummer, never quite translate to superior.

Ez drummer kinda does some of this but I find its just not seamless. "softer", "harder", 'busier", and whatever else. EZdrummer has some great stuff but it is still quite clunky in what it does. I really really hope it has some next gen loop, and drum section building. So I am hoping it is one of those "free" pieces of software, or at least cheap pieces, and its the kits that cost money.
#Superior drummer 3 library free download update
I have no idea what superior 3 is, but my hope is that, if it has all the plugins built in, they update all the presets to this next generation. A massive library that I guarantee was built with superior 3 in mind. I bought progressive foundry not that long ago. So the later kits would all have its tech in mind. Superior 3 must have been in development for a very long time, even if on the back burner. I'm sure they will have legacy models in there and if there is any update at all required to use whatever is "Revolutionary" in the new Superior 3, I guarantee the last year or so of kits will easily update to whatever that thing is.
